PINspiration & Baby Shower Cookies (well...almost)

I've been spending an insane amount of time on Pinterest lately.  It's quite embarrassing actually!  I think I'm on that site from the moment I wake up until I go to bed.  Sad, huh?  I have to say though that I have discovered some great ideas on that site so it's not all that bad!! 

Case in point...I couldn't have come across this pin of a baby bunting cookie tutorial by Glorious Treats at a better time.  I knew these cookies would be perfect for my niece's (almost) baby shower because they would match her invitations!

I was a little worried about getting the colors right, but then I remembered reading a post on Sweet Sugarbelle's blog about using ivory to make "off-colors."  Thanks to her tutorial, I was able to get the colors pretty close!  If you haven't done so already, you should really check out her blog.  She is A-MAZ-ING!!

I tried to make some of the cookies look like brooches and made some cute little hearts too.

Well...they were almost baby shower cookies until...

The night before I was going to send the cookies off to my niece, the hubby and I got a text announcing that baby Zoey had arrived!  She is one beautiful baby girl!!  I went ahead and sent the cookies off anyway.  Now, they will be attached to the new invitations announcing the new date for the "Welcome Zoey" party!
